成都，是中国首个提出“生活体育”理念的城市。近年来，围绕城市公园、绿道、社区空间的更新，成都持续推动全民健身与公共生活的融合，塑造具有生活感的体育城市新场景。

 

Chengdu is the first city in China to put forward the concept of "Life Sports". In recent years, centering on the renewal of urban parks, greenways, and community spaces, Chengdu has continuously promoted the integration of public fitness and public life, shaping new scenarios with a strong sense of daily life that defines a sports city.

 

“体育是城市对外开放的桥梁。”快乐运动体育发展集团创始人、董事长周莉表示，公司早在2014年就发起“快乐运动中国计划”，通过与芬兰、荷兰等国合作，引入克鲁伊夫球场、YOU.FO世界杯等国际体育品牌和理念。其核心载体WePark玩湃体育公园，作为全球首个中芬荷联合创立的体育公园品牌，集成了智慧足球、儿童友好运动、轻极限运动等多元场景，已在全国40余个城市落地超120个项目。

 

"Sports serve as a bridge for a city's opening-up," said Zhou Li, founder and chair of Happy Sports. As early as 2014, the company launched the Happy Sports China Plan, introducing international sports brands and concepts such as Cruyff Court and the YOU.FO World Cup through cooperation with countries like Finland and the Netherlands. Its flagship project, WePark, the world's first sports park brand co-founded by Chinese, Finnish, and Dutch companies, integrates diverse scenarios including smart football, child-friendly sports, and light extreme sports,. To date, it has rolled out over 120 projects in more than 40 cities across China.

“成都是一座非常有包容力的城市，我们愿意接纳全球优质资源，也希望让世界通过体育了解成都的文化和生活方式。”周莉说。作为中国首批全产业链打造新型城市智慧体育公园的创新实践者，快乐运动创造性提出“体育、产业、外交”循环赋能的城市生态模型，为城市打开一扇扇对外开放的窗。

 

"Chengdu is a city of extraordinary inclusiveness. We are willing to embrace premier resources worldwide and we hope the world will get to know Chengdu's culture and lifestyle through sports," said Zhou Li. As one of China's first innovators in building new smart urban sports parks with a full industrial chain, Happy Sports has creatively proposed an urban ecological model of Sports, industries and diplomacy empowering each other, opening numerous windows for the city's opening-up.

From Chengdu to the World: Crafting a Model for Global Active City Initiative

 

今年3月，快乐运动正式成为国际群众体育协会（TAFISA）签约合作伙伴，将携手成都市对外开放合作促进中心等相关部门共同牵头推动成都争取“全球活力城市”认证。目前，全球仅有九座城市获得此认证，成都有望成为中国首座入选城市。周莉表示：“标识度和国际化，是我们当前努力的方向。”

 

In this March, Happy Sports became a partner of The Association For International Sport for All (TAFISA). It will join hands with the Chengdu Opening-up and International Cooperation Center (COICC) to take the lead in promoting Chengdu's bid for the title of Global Active City. Currently, only nine cities worldwide hold this title and Chengdu is expected to become the 10th in the world and the first in China. Zhou Li stated, "Enhancing recognition and internationalization is what we are striving for at present."

"We aim to make Chengdu a Chinese model for the Global Active City Initiative," said Zhou Li. To her, this vision is not just aspirational—it's already unfolding. The title of Global Active City is not merely an honor, but a leap forward in Chengdu's governance philosophy. The Global Active City Initiative advocates leveraging sports to promote healthy living, optimize city governance, and enhance public welfare, which are highly embodied in Chengdu's practices in life sports and park city development.

“卢布尔雅那就是一个例子。”周莉提到，作为成都国际友城，斯洛文尼亚首都卢布尔雅那通过全民健身、公园建设、运动处方等政策，成功获得“全球活力城市”认证。“我们也可以从生活出发，创造属于成都的城市治理新场景。”

 

"Ljubljana is a case in point," Zhou Li noted. As Chengdu's sister city, Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, earned its certification through policies promoting public fitness, park development, and sports prescriptions. "We, too, can start from daily life to create new urban governance scenarios unique to Chengdu."

 

当下，快乐运动正通过建设智慧体育公园、举办全民赛事、开展城市智库服务等方式，为成都探索“体育赋能城市治理”提供现实路径。

 

Today, Happy Sports is exploring practical pathways for Chengdu to "empower city governance with sports" by building smart sports parks, organizing public sports events, and providing urban think tank services.

成都市委十四届七次全会指出，要构建多元融合产业体系。重点发展更具引领性的文化产业、更具显示度的特色商业、更具美誉度的现代旅游业和更具辨识度的体育赛事产业。快乐运动正在以体育为纽带，拓展更多城市合作的维度。

 

The 7th Plenary Session of the 14th CPC Chengdu Municipal Committee emphasized building a diversified industrial ecosystem, prioritizing leading cultural industries, distinctive commerce, high-reputation modern tourism, and recognizable sports events. Happy Sports is using sports as a bond to expand urban cooperation.

 

“我们不是只做体育场馆或赛事，更关注体育如何与文化、旅游、产业融合。”周莉介绍，在广东徐闻，快乐运动通过与荷兰合作，推动当地菠萝出口欧洲，实现“体育+农业”融合；在南阳，打造落地“玩湃生活体育广场”，将成都生活体育理念推广至中部城市。

 

"We don't just build sports venues or host sports events; we focus on how sports can integrate with culture, tourism, and industries," said Zhou Li. In Xuwen, Guangdong, Happy Sports partnered with Dutch companies to boost pineapple exports to Europe, achieving "sports + agriculture" integration. In Nanyang, Henan, Happy Sports built and operates the WePark Life Sports Plaza, extending Chengdu's life sports concept to central China.

这些项目背后，是一种可持续、可复制的城市发展模式。“体育是抓手，落脚点是提升城市的综合吸引力和产业活力。”周莉表示，成都正加快建设世界文化旅游名城和国际消费中心城市，而体育可以成为串联城市品牌、产业生态与生活方式的关键节点。

 

Behind these projects lies a sustainable, replicable urban development model. "Sports are the means, but the goal is to enhance a city's overall appeal and industrial vitality," said Zhou Li. Chengdu is accelerating its efforts to build itself into a world famous cultural and tourism city and an international consumption center. Sports, in this context, can serve as a key link connecting the city's brand, industrial ecosystems, and lifestyles.

 

随着成都对外开放不断深化，本土企业亦在探索更具全球化视野的城市参与方式。周莉认为，城市的国际化，不只是“引进来”，也要“走出去”。“成都有丰富的文化和产业基础，我们完全可以打造属于成都的国际品牌，并向世界讲好成都故事。”

 

With Chengdu's deepening opening-up, local enterprises are exploring ways to participate in urban development with a more global perspective. Zhou Li believes that a city's internationalization is not just about "bringing in" but also "going global". "Chengdu boasts rich cultural and industrial foundations. We are fully capable of building our international brands and telling Chengdu's stories well to the world."
